We’ve all woken up, completed our dutiful morning routines only to find flaky skin appear on our noses. Our first reaction – top up the moisturiser into more a heavy duty application.

But It’s not the lack of moister that’s causing this, it’s missing or at least not carrying out, the proper process of exfoliation. A key component in keeping your skin looking soft and dewy.

I’m not saying you need to get a hard-core scrub or exfoliation stone to rub over your face, (where by eventually you’ll find yourself covered in red mark) All you need is a simple facial scrub; doesn’t need to break the bank, you can buy one from your pharmacy or Priceline as they all (basically) do the same thing.

  1. Cleanses the skin
  2. Dislodges build up in pores
  3. Breaks up white heads

Basically it frees up any dead skin cells making room for new skin underneath to come through and by doing this, creating blood flow and ultimately giving you that beautiful soft glow.

Make sure you’re using a warm washer, this way the skin cells are less course and easier to move around. Also afterward, re-wash your face with warm water and apply your best moisturiser or oil.

Tip. If you’re using an oil such as rose hip oil, wait for it to settle and then add another layer of your regular face moisturiser/night cream. This will boost the hydration and I can guarantee you’ll see the benefits.
