It might be time to put away all those expensive potions and lotions after trying coconut oil in your daily beauty regimen. It’s loaded with Vitamin E and fatty acids (such as lauric acid, myristic acid, capric acid and more) which are anti-fungal, anti-oxidizing and anti-bacterial, just the sort of stuff that our body happily responds to!
It can be used as an all-over moisturizer (with excellent results, apply right after showering and throughout the day), but here are different ways to take advantage of its natural goodness and treat problem areas.
For Dry & Damaged Hair:
Work some into the damaged ends half hour before showering.
Glossy, Shiny Locks & Frizz Buster – Use a small amount into the ends to get rid of the frizz and tame your locks with a beautiful shine.
Exfoliating Facial Scrub: Mix the same amount of baking soda and coconut oil massage on the face, rinse with warm water. Feels amazing.
Dark Elbow Patches: Rub morning and night, you will notice such an amazing result.
Dry Scalp: Rub a small amount into your scalp before going to bed, don’t over do it though. Wash out in the morning.
Keep oil in overnight, cover your pillow with a towel so you are protecting your linen. Wash out in the morning with shampoo, do this once a week and you will notice a difference.
Banish Rashes, Eczema, Psoriasis or Severe Dryness:
Rub a small amount into affected area and allow your body time to absorb the oil. Repeat daily.
