Ok. Time to get serious. Summer is here (practically), which means more sun and more sweating. So it’s not as if we can use the same make up routine we’ve been donning the past three to four months – safely. By all means go ahead, but you’re more than likely wearing a thick mask on your face which will go deep into your pores and to be honest, you’re going to sweat it off by the time you even leave the front door.
So here are 5 things you MUST include in your summer skincare routine.
1. Tinted Moisturiser
It’s summer, we need to look after our skin and keep it from dehydration. However we also need to be wary of the sun, so a tinted moisturiser with an included SPF is best. Invisible Zinc is also a good option.
A good bronzer is a must! It can add just the right amount brown to your face to make it look as natural as ever. Without caking on the foundation. A good bronzer will help contour the face naturally. So make sure you don’t pack it on and look like you’ve just thrown a whole lot of dirt on your face!
Either one – they do the same trick. You’ll have a natural summer glow, but these products are there to help just that little bit extra. Use a highlighter on your cheekbones and eyebrow bones to really get that kick and mix your illuminator with your tinted moisturiser to give yourself an all-round glow.
4. Coconut Oil
It’s all about trying to be as natural as possible. Coconut oil is an easy and cost effective way to do this. Use it as an all over body moisturiser and let your body soak in all those natural oils.
5. The Beach
Let the salt water be your savior for summer. It’s a great exfoliant and does wonders for your skin. It’s a natural cleanser for your skin and a natural shampoo (just make sure to add some conditioning agent afterward or your hair will remain dry and brittle). And it’s a great way to gain some much-needed Vitamin D after winter.
